thanks for stopping by.
Growing up I always enjoyed building things, which lead me to attending North Dakota State University to earn a degree in Civil Engineering. I read a book during college, Rich Dad Poor Dad, and it changed my life. It made me start thinking about passive income, real estate, and what kind of future I wanted to live. During college I bought my first rental property and some buddies and I lived there for during our college years. Once I graduated from NDSU I pursued my career in engineering. I put a few years under my belt, but always felt this itch to do something in real estate. Fast forward 5 years and here I am, but more about that in the section below. Outside of my job I am a husband to my bride, Hayleigh and dog dad to two golden retrievers, Piper and Gracie. We live in Fargo, ND and love the community we have here. Some of my favorite things to do outside of work is spend time in the mountains of Big Sky, taking a boat ride on Pickerel Lake, and connecting with people. It brings me tons of energy talking with people who are passionate about something and chasing their dreams!
Remember that itch I was feeling to do something in real estate? I clearly remember looking around at the people who were farther along in engineering and asking myself if I want what they have. The answer turned out to be a big no, so I knew I had to do something about it. I had a meeting with my mentor and realtor, Erik Hatch. He took a gamble on me and I took a gamble on switching industries at 26. I started out at Hatch Realty as a showing partner and after a bit I became a buyer's agent and do listings on my sphere deals. As much as I love being a realtor, it is also very active! Remember what I said about passive income? Outside of being a realtor I also invest in real estate. I own seven homes and two four-plexes with plans to keep acquiring and growing.
A couple years ago I was at a Master Networks conference and there were people there who were experts in their field, whether that be chiropractic care or dentistry. I remember sitting there and thinking that I could write a book one day, but I just needed to decide what it would be about. Out of that conference came this book, Master Your Sphere. The inspiration for this book was truly the work that I have been doing for the past years and the results that I was obtaining from my system. In my industry, and most others, sphere deals are essential to your business and a constant growing business. Enjoy the read!
